what is the diesel LPG system ?

A diesel engine works via compression as opposed to a petrol engine which uses
spark plugs to ignite the fuel. LPG systems for petrol engines have been around
for a long time. Some 10 to 15 years ago crude "fumigation" LPG systems for diesels were introduced.

These old crude systems suffered the following issues.

• Not very efficient achieving a saving of upto 8-10%
• Required large amounts of LPG to be added typically 20%.
• Broke numerous powertrains due to the crudeness and lack of precision of the introduction of LPG
• Very little reduction in Diesel used - hence the boost in performance.
• A very redimentary LPG system with no sensors or dedicated LPG ECU.

• A true injection system as opposed to a older simple single point gas system.
• A proper dual fuel system. Twin injection system that delivers the precise amount of LPG depending on load
• Dedicated diesel LPG electronic control unit(ECU). Sensors fitted as part of the LPG conversion feed information constantly to the LPG ECU.
• Highly efficient injecting upto 6% LPG and resulting in savings of upto 35% (depending on engine and driving conditions).

What can be converted using the binary LPG system ?

Any turbo diesel vehicle can be converted to run on dual LPG/Diesel. The process takes 1 to 2 days and is carried out at our dedicated workshop here in Bradford.
